Dine adventurously almost 7000 feet high in the moonlit sky while overlooking the snowcapped peaks of Glacier National Park and the sparkling lights of Flathead Valley. Start your voyage with a breathtaking ride up to the summit of Big Mountain on the Chair Lift, enjoy an unforgettable dining experience, then ride the lift down, or follow our experienced instructors for the run of your life... by moonlight!.

Advanced reservation required! No refund for cancellations made less then 72 hours. Seating is limited to 60 people for each seating time.

Where to Meet:
Meet at the base of Chair 1 at 5:40pm for the 6pm dining time, and sign in with the Lift Operator.
Enjoy an open chair ride to the summit where you will proceed to the Summit House for your dinner.

Tips for a Fun-Filled Night:
  • Bring a camera! This is an adventure you'll want to document! (On clear nights, you'll see the sparkling lights of Flathead Valley.)
  • Ski or snowboard equipment if you plan to ski/ride down.
  • Wear layers (Open Chair Lift Ride) long underwear, tops & bottoms, sweater or fleece and a moisture resistant coat will keep you warm (cotton clothing NOT recommended)
  • Snow pants—moisture resistant, synthetic or wool (jeans are NOT recommended)
  • Hat, neck gaiter, scarf or mask
  • Mittens or gloves—moisture resistant
  • Warm, moisture resistant, winter boots and socks (Please no high heels!)
  • Money/Credit Card – Cash bar available

Do you like powder and plenty of it? Then, you need to try this backcountry snowcat adventure nestled right in the snow belt of the scenic Whitefish Range, where light fluffy snow blankets our mountains quite regularly. If what you're looking for is deep powder with open glades and enough terrain to match your ability, you've found it in approximately 35 square miles of the Stillwater State Forest in the Whitefish Range. Expect about 4 runs before lunch, and then as many runs as you can squeeze in before dark. Overnight and Dinner Cruises also available.

Meet at Brigg's General Store in Olney (18 miles north of Whitefish on Hwy 93) at 8 am sharp (Let us know if you need transportation arranged at time of booking).

Our trips focus on providing you with a true winter experience. You will travel through hemlock and cedar forests, admiring mountain views and all things wild via snow shoes, cross country skis, or back country skis. This is a wonderful opportunity to admire Glacier National Park on a personal level where our professional guides will lead you into the wilderness of Glacier at your pace. Prepare to experience the wonders of a winter paradise.

Glacier Park Tours
  • Prices start at $175 per person for a full-day, all-inclusive tour.
  • Half-day tours are available.
  • All-inclusive tour includes round-trip transportation, guide, healthy lunch and snacks, equipment, and all park fees. Gratuity is not included and must be earned.
  • Tours are customizable to meet your needs.
  • Groups will remain smaller (8 or less). Minimum of 2 people per group.
  • Full-day tours typically depart at 9:00am and conclude at 5:00pm.

Travel at the "Speed of Dog". If you've always dreamed of the Iditarod but never quite got around to moving to Alaska to train for it, here's your chance. Take an unforgettable hour and fifteen minute sled ride "at the speed of dog" through pristine forests. Dog Sled rides offered seven (7) days a week in Olney. Rides start at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:30pm daily.

Free transportation provided from Whitefish Mountain Resort only on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 2:30pm (Check in at 2:20 at the Base Lodge), otherwise, guests must provide own transportation to Olney.

Prices are $90/adult and $45/child ages 12 & under.

Guests should wear/bring:
  • Warm clothing including a hat and gloves. Wear layers because the weather can change quickly
  • Sunglasses or goggles - the dogs can kick up bits of snow
  • Warm moisture resistant winter boots
  • A camera to capture the memory

Explore hundreds of groomed snowmobile trails with great views and super photo opportunities. Tours start at the summit of our very own Whitefish Mountain Resort. You'll be given a short safety training session, a helmet, and off you go into the wild blue yonder with a certified snowmobile guide. This fun filled tour provides spectacular views of Glacier National Park, the Flathead Valley, the Swan Range, and the Canadian Rockies.

  • Includes foot passenger ticket, safety training, helmet & guide.
  • Drivers must be 16 years or older and can ride their own machine with parent permission

  • Guests check in at the Lift Plaza Ticket Center (LPTC) 30 min. before their tour
  • Guests meet their guide at the summit 15 min. before their tour
  • 24 hour notice for more than 5 snowmobiles needed

  • Layers of non cotton clothing with waterproof coat and pants
  • Hat, neck gaiter or mask, mittens or gloves, and goggles
  • Warm, moisture resistant winter boots
